Oracle APEX AI Days 2025, organized by INOAUG, brought together Oracle APEX practitioners, architects, and technology leaders to explore the practical adoption of AI within the Oracle ecosystem. The first edition of the event was held in Chennai on 15 November 2025, focusing on bridging modern AI capabilities with enterprise-grade application development.

Maathra participated in the event as an official partner, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to the Oracle APEX and AI developer community. As part of the technical agenda, Arun Mohan, Co-Founder and CTO of Maathra, delivered a session titled “Model Context Protocol (MCP) for APEX Developers.”

The session addressed a key challenge faced by enterprises as AI adoption accelerates: enabling large language models to interact with enterprise systems in a safe, structured, and governed manner. Arun introduced the Model Context Protocol (MCP) as a standardized approach to expose databases, APIs, and operational capabilities to AI systems using typed schemas and controlled execution boundaries.

Through live demonstrations using Claude Desktop, the session showcased how natural language queries can be translated into valid SQL, executed securely against an Oracle Database, and summarized into meaningful business insights. The demonstrations emphasized conversational analytics, controlled tool execution, and the importance of governance when integrating AI into production-grade APEX applications.

The session generated strong interest among attendees, particularly around real-world use cases where MCP can be leveraged to enhance reporting, analytics, and decision support within Oracle APEX applications. The event served as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, hands-on learning, and community interaction, further strengthening collaboration across the Oracle APEX and AI ecosystem.

The Chennai edition marked the beginning of APEX AI Days 2025, setting the tone for deeper discussions on responsible AI adoption, low-code innovation, and enterprise-ready AI integrations in the Oracle stack.
